Terry David

Terry is the Director of EMS for Rice County and also the Emergency Management Director.

Terry moved to Rice County from Hutchinson, Kansas. Prior to living in Hutchinson, Terry worked for the Wichita Police Department from 1979 - 1986.

Terry's interest in EMS was sparked while working for the police department. In 1987, Terry received his Paramedic training from Hutchinson Community College. Terry began working part-time for Reno County EMS in Hutchinson, Kansas.

In March of 1995 he came to Rice Co EMS and became the Director.  In 1999 he became the Emergency Management Director.  Terry has been affiliate faculty of the American Heart Association. Terry has held instructor in BLS (CPR) and ACLS and has been a Medic First Aid instructor. 

Terry has held the President's office of KEMSA and is on the Board of Region III as well as the Hospital Board of Directors for Rice County District #1 Hospital (Lyons). Terry holds several offices with various civic organizations and has been recently working on various projects related to EMS and Trauma Protocols.

Terry has been instrumental in the growth and development of Rice County EMS. Terry has very much encouraged further education whenever possible. Rice County EMS began providing Advanced Life Support to the residents of the county since he became director. There has been the change to 24 hour shifts since he has joined us.
